The name Tunki comes from the bird that carries the same name. This coffee is picked and processed by hand. Situated high in the mountains and surrounded by the most beautiful flora and fauna of the Tambopata Valley. The coffee beans are fed and washed by pure spring water, then dried by the native Quechua and Aymara speaking families. The beans are grown organically in the shadow areas, not only the habitat of many migratory birds is protected by this, but the cherries are also slowly ripened in this way, resulting in the fresh acidity that you find in the taste.

Delicious!

The Peru Tunki makes a delicious cuppa. It is slightly more on the citrus side with a slight zing in the back of the throat. Whilst not my preferred taste profile ( hence 4 in stead of 5 starts) it was delicious and I suspect more an afternoon than morning brew!

Peru tunki is absoluut een blijvertje

Deze koffie is heerlijk aromatisch en de smaak is zeer bevredigend. Niet te donker gebrand of te zwak. Het is niet pittig of bitter, maar rijk en vol, waardoor elke kop net zo lekker is als de vorige. De bonen ruiken erg fris. Absoluut een blijvertje!

Ik hou van deze koffie!

Ik hou zo veel van deze koffie! Een van de beste! Koffie is natuurlijk iets heel persoonlijks, dus ik kan voor niemand anders spreken. Zacht en een beetje chocoladeachtig? Ik ben geen expert, ik weet alleen dat ik het lekker vind.

Dit is mijn favoriete dagelijkse koffie geweest. Ik maal altijd zelf de bonen vers ... het is dan altijd vers, nooit oud of droog. Ik krijg altijd de vraag welke koffie ik gebruik als ik het met gasten deel. Love it!!
